Special Thanks to RJ.. :thankyou:

He cleaned out the intake and did the majority of the painting.

Here are a few pics, it's alot of work.. alot more then I thought. It was easier to do valve cover and valve cover gaskets lol..

I have to get it a little tighter to get the crossing bar to fit, there is a pic showing how close it is..

Looks good ... you shouldn't have to sit on it though, likely need to wiggle around the entire unit ... should all slip together.

best way to do that is to keep the hose clamps loose while you work the intake back down.

Good job, although, I'm not digging the flat black look. To each his own I guess........:thumb:

After studying it.. I'm wondering if the rubbers from the runners are in the right way. Like maybe one side it goes in deeper.. Cause the front set sit almost flush on the butterflies but the rear are about a quarter inch apart and with all hose clamps loose I can't get them to slide more onto the butterflies.. So I'm gonna look inside an extra tomorrow, measure up to middle on both sides. I could probably hold it REALLY tightly and get the cross bar to slide on but it'd have lots of pressure and wouldn't be "right"... I'll figure it out in the morning my mom sick of me twirling around intake in living room when she's watchin tv :( haha

i would deffinatlly leave ur clamps a little loose.........taken mine apart a couple times on both the 92 and 95......sometimes itll slide rite on but others ull have to go back thru and reloosen all the clamps just to get it to slide in

just seems alot easier IMHO

Yeah, it's actually fine textured black maybe if the runners were gloss or something it would look cool.. but murdered out is how we do.. :)

I agree, though I do like flat black if it's paired with another color, like SASHO's intake. Good job on it nonetheless.

:thankyou:
Mine is rinkle finish though. (The blue is darker, camera picked it up lighter)

I do like the look of an all black intake, but I think the SHO 24valveDOHC should be the color of the VC's.

My valve cover is textured grey/black, I could do that to the SHO 24valve DOHC... I'm gonna now that you said it. It will be easy to just tape over it and cut out the letters with a razor blade and it will look good. If not repaint black lol
