from that article, i'm not sure what there're doing. but i can say that the SHO could deff use more frame reenforcment. even with STB's my car still get's some flex.

The key is to find out where the flexing occurs and reinforce it. With a unibody car, these areas are endless. It's a fine line to walk, however, since reinforcements in one area might promote greater flexure in other areas that are not capable of handling the added stess....

Some racers do seam welding on the unibody to help stiffen it up. Lots of work, but it has a benefit.
