Charging battery????

My battery is still dead finally got a charger hooked up to it only had a few minutes to do it so i just disconnected the terminals and got it hooked up as we speak...i got it hooked up to a 6v-12v charger a slower charge is supposed to be better so i got it charging at 6? is that right?? need a quick response so i can switch it before i leave

You want it to charge at 12V not 6V.
