Ok, I have new Felpro Valve cover gaskets, upper intake gaskets, plug well gaskets, new plugs and wires, so it's about time to replace all these since the car isn't moving anywhere for awhile (clutch went out), so ok what do I need to do? I have a manual but before I go for it, and use that I'd like to ask some peeps who have actually done it. What all did you do? Drain Radiator? Remove all the bolts to the upper intake, disconnect any lines in the way until job is done? Then I use one of the hexagonal type shapes wrenches to take the valve cover bolts off right? Then take upper intake and valve covers off, replace, plugs, wires, gaskets, use gasket sealer, clean out plug wells, that it? Anything else I should do?

Daniel,

You've got mail thumb

You may also want to consider doing the valve lash adjustment while you've got the intake and valve cover gaskets off. Instructions on how to perform this are included in the items that I've emailed you. You'll need the shims and tools to do this adjustment, which are available from a number of locations including here which is where I got mine.

One pointer for you: if you have any oil and/or dirt in your plug wells, be sure you clean it out as best you can before removing the plugs to prevent debris from entering the cylinders and causing damage to the cylinder walls. You can remove the majority of oil/dirt with a small pump/vacuum and rags.

Good Luck!
