how much of a pain is it to change the rear motor mount. do you have to drop all of the subframe, or can you just loosen the paaenger corner a bit and work from there? If i loosen one side of the subframe do i have to discconed the ball joint and all of that to do it or will it be fine going down a little bit.

sunny San Juan Bautista,
I want to know too! Can't decide whether to replace my worn out mounts NOW or wait until I do the clutch (and I haven't even BEGUN to collect the clutch parts yet). I've got three Kirked mounts, a front, a rear, and a tranny, waiting in the wings. My dog sleeps with them so don't nobody go even thinking about stealing them from me!!!

I did just did mine about a month ago. I had to jack up the motor, loosen all 4 corners of subframe, and then loosen the front mount in order to get it in. When you go to put the new mount in, bolt it to the motor first, and then lower it into the subframe, you still may need to pry the bolt in order to get it to slide into the subframe correctly. It takes some work, took me around 5 hours but i was working alone and got stuck several times.
