i just changed my ect sensor today and i still get the same code i did before
ECT indicated 254degF. Circuit grounded also my fan is not coming on. it only comes on when i put the code tester on can someone help with this.

Are you sure you replaced the ECT? It sounds like you replaced the sensor for the gauge which is located to the right of the thermostat.

yes i hope it is the sensor right of thermostat its hidden under a few wires and connectors and when i replaced it about a gallon of coolant came out the sensor had a 2 wire connector iam not talking about the sensor for the temp gauge on the dash.

Did you clear the codes after installing the ECT sensor? If not, clear them. If so, I'd look at the wiring going to the ECC, or possibly the EEC itself.

Does your fan(s) kick on when you turn the a/c on?

The light green and red wire coming from the sensor to the PCM must be grounded or open. There is a connector (C133) that is above the transaxel and below the master cylinder that is for the sensor. See if you have that connected go.

Code 117 means the PCM is seeng <.2 V as a signal return on the LG/R wire.
