i have a 92 mtx i want to swap in a 93+ console in it for the smoother look and useful cupholders is it just a drop in deal or do i need to mod things to make it work will only a mtx sho console work or are thier other models i can get it from ??

Any Taurus will work, you might have to lightly mod shifter opening on an ATX console. There is a write-up somewhere, if you google you might find it. I'm not sure if it's on here or SHO Phoenix Project or SHO Times.

I personally did not need to mod the hole for the atx console, I just pulled the metal ring off of my old shift boot and driled holes in it to attach it where the rubber trim ring was on the atx console.

There is a write up on shophoenixproject.com about doing it - you also need the brackets for the later console.
