I have a 1995 Sho Atx and it has been starting up rough sometimes and by that I mean it will stall out once in a while, and it has a idle issue too. I pulled the codes and i got a 327 which is the EGR volts below min. I know that from reading in the forum that someone posted that the EGR valves do not go bad all the time, I was wondering what could be causing this code. I really do not want to just start throwing parts at it. Any advise on how to troubleshoot this would be greatly appreciated. :thankyou:

Back in Michigan ... again.
I'm getting the same code, just did 02s and I don't recall this being there before. I did remove the red/green EGR tubes running from the valve/intake to the firewall (I change the rear 02 sensor from the top of the engine and those were in the way). I haven't done much in-depth diagnosis but I would be interested to hear some thoughts on this before I dig into it :)

on other ford's I've worked on I've had to replace the DPFE sensor (Differential Pressure Feedback EGR).

theres a couple ways to test it, but both of which require a scan tool. Using a scan tool to monitor DPFE voltage, apply vacuum to the EGR valve and watch for fluctuations in voltage.

No voltage change almost always means a bad DPFE, and less likely a wiring problem. Lack of voltage might indicate a bad ground, blown fuse or wiring problem.

The sensor just basically tells the ECM whether or not the EGR is working.

I checked out rock auto and the part does exist on 3.2 SHO's.

should look like this

Edit:
IMPORTANT
If you apply vacuum to the EGR valve, the engine should start to run rough! if there is no change in idle your EGR is probably caked with carbon and needs cleaning / replacing

Dddddddd

Here is a basic test you can check with a multimeter... with the car off

PSI = 0

so the volts should be 3.25, and when vacuum is applied (car running) voltage should drop.
