cel and code 556

My check engine light came on and i pulled the codes and i got code 556 Fuel pump relay primary circuit fault. Can anybody explain that in any futher detail ?

Does the engine run?

If so, reset the computer and check codes again.

A valid 556 would indicate that the fuel pump would not be able to run. If it does run, the fault (assuming it is not a transient) would be in the internal self test circuitry of the PCM.

yes the car runs, i reset the computer last night because i had gotten another code which i fixed that problem. So i should reset it again?

can anybody help me with this ? The car is very hesitant. I had replaced the o2 sensors if that would help at all.( i spilled coolant on them in the process of putting everything together after replacing the clutch) Im still getting the 556 code fuel pump relay fault. I did a search and came up with very little except maybe i should check the wire harness or clean out the module, can anybody tell me the next step i should take?? thank you in advance for any responses
