I have a 94 SHO ATX w/85k on it. Every once in awhile (once, maybe twice a month), the car doesn't start right away. It turns over and everything, but it just doesn't start. If I wait a minute it eventually starts. I took it to a mechanic and he told me that even though he was''n't able to duplicate the problem, he's 99% sure that it's the ECM. Anyone else have any ideas before I get the part?

Does this happen at any particular time, say only when the car is hot or only when it is cold? If it only happens when it is hot, I would tend to think it is your CID.

It can happen whenever. It's only happened once in the morning (cold car), but the first time it happened it had only been sitting for ~5 minutes.

I have seen this alot on the gen1-2 cars. Next time this happens, put the throttle petal to the floor and it should start right up.
