I'm looking forward to meeting all of you in person for the Carlisle show, but I have yet to book a room. I've heard that most everyone is staying at either Clarion ($99 per night) or the Comfort Inn ($76 per night).

I know all of the fun will be lost if I'm 3 miles down the road at some grungy hotel while everyone is all booked in some nice hotel having a blast.

Please inform me as to where you are planning to stay.

By the way, Is there any benefit to registering and using the name shoclub? I heard from sho owners who regretted not registering last year, even though their car was not contest quality. I will be taking my daily driver because my project sho will not be complete. :(

Thanks. Scott

Well, If we have 25 cars registered under SHOclub, then we get a free tent. Besides, whats another seven letters gonna hurt

Nobody has responded to my question yet. Does anybody know if I can bring my 98 SE instead of the sho and get in the tent?

There was a separate section for the NON-SHO Tauri a couple of sections over from where SHO CLUB was.

I just got done registering. I used "SHOclub" to help get that tent.

I still haven't reserved a room because I don't know

WHERE ARE THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE STAYING? :headbang:

I don't know about this forum, but all the other carlisle's I've attended, 1/2 the fun was meeting back in the evening as a group at the hotel. We would see where everyone wanted to go eat and what to do afterward.

Or do you guys/gals just sit at the show, and in the evening everyone goes their seperate way back to their own hotel?

Sorry if someone takes me to be rude, but carlisle is a little over a month away, and I'm sure the hotels are getting packed. Especially since it is the ford nationals weekend. I don't want to miss out on the fun.

Thanks. Scott

I already have my room booked at the Comfort Inn and I registered on Carlisle's website under the name "SHOclub"

I plan on heading out early friday morning. Should be a 3 hr drive for me. Anyone coming from the west ie. OHIO, that wants to meet along the turnpike near Pittsburgh?

I can't wait to meet you guys in person. As I said in a previous post, it is going to suck that I can't drive out in my project SHO.

It is going to be embarrising to park my 92 beater SHO in the same lot with freshly painted, show quality, SHO's. :frown:

Hello all -

Registering as SHOClub is the best way to get everyone on board to count toward the tent. I was concerned last year that folks wouldn't necessarily know to say "Liberty SHO Club" if they weren't forum-folks.

Whether we make the 25 for a freebie or not, it is absolutely worth it to "order" it and it's always nice to have a place to go out of the blazing sun or torrents of rain.

I will be touching base with the Carlisle gal tomorrow and will also put in my $ .02 about their choice of locale and lack of space of last year. I doubt it will make any difference but at least it will be "on record".

As far as the Taurus SE - I *think* there may be a "mid-size" section where it should be shown. If you're "one of the gang" I suppose someone will scootch a cheek for you under the tent. <<<Not going here since I don't know who's who in forum land! LMAO!!!

See everyone in a month. Better get cleaning!!!

Terri

P.S. There is information earlier regarding folks being booked at The Clarion and The Comfort Inn, Mechanicsburg. FYI - Yes, people hang out at the fairgrounds and then take the party back to the hotel. Whoever wants to do whatever seems to make that work regardless of who is staying where... usually via the magic of cell phones!

As of 5/11/04 there are 15 people registered under SHOClub.

I will be touching base with the office tomorrow to see if there are any SHOs registered that aren't included in that count.

Honestly I *probably* registered at LSHOC! LOL!

I'll report back tamarah.

I'm registered. I went back and checked my confirmation email. It looks like I put in SHO Club instead of SHOClub. Not sure if that makes a difference for the Carlisle people or not.

To the Taurus SE person - Last year they had a separate section for the mid-size sedan people vs the SHO people. The mid-size sedan section was relatively small and unimpressive. If you park your car there, I'm sure you are more than welcome to walk down to the SHO tent. Also, if you look at the picture someone posted from last year, you will notice a Gen III SLO parked with the SHOs. Last year a couple registered their SE as a SHO. Not sure if they owned a SHO but couldn't bring it or they just registered wrong but they parked their SE with our SHOs. We didn't vandalize the car for being unworthy, we just gave it a bunch of mean looks :p

I might have to work that weekend, dammit! I really don't want to miss this SHO. It was so awesome last year.

Hey Terri.....I am registered but I missed this post so its under my club Track Toys instead of SHO club. I am bringing the SHO and the Cobra. My SHO is definately not a SHOw car but its another one parked in the group which is good for the hobby.

I believe there will be at least three SHOs coming from Indiana this year.

Niiiiice! I hope we have a huge turnout! Free tent would be kewl, even though I know it's already covered. :thumb: As long as they do things as in years past, we have until Sunday to register 25 cars, so anyone who didn't mention SHO Club initially can do so when they physically register for the weekend. The thing I don't know again this year is where they have us parked! I hope we don't run out of room... It was so much nicer when we were parked on the real estate where the SVT trailer now lives each year.

Counting down...

Almost out of detailing days...

My T.R. 98 is coming this year, I've been prereged for a while, and I'm staying at the Daystop (a little cheaper, and i think a little further away). I'll be there Terri! I think I'm going to drive down on Thursday to give myself some extra time to clean up the car, and am staying till Sunday.
