Ok, i have a serious problem. for some reason my car does not seem to be putting out all 220 hp its so claimed to have. my buddy has a sho and his just feel so much stronger. recently the car has been having problems starting when warm, the car does NOT shut off when on (i believe that is a CPS problem if that happened??) it is only hard to start back up and sometimes it wont even start up i have to wait...which is a CPS failure sign. i am wondering if it is my fuel pump. before the car starts you can hear the pump prime but for some reason when i give it gas there is a huge delay in the throttle responce and there is little to no pressure at the schreder valve. i recently ordered a fuel pump so i a going to try that. do anyone think that it is the CPS if so let me know. But any info on what may be causing my car to act like this would be greatly appricated

And if you think there is a problem with the fuel pressure, use a fuel pressure tester to check it! But if it was a fuel pump issue it doesn't make sense why it won't start when warm but it will when cold...the pump doesn't act like that, unless there's some strange intermittant connection problem. I'd be guessing more along the lines of CKP sensor, but as Mr. Anonymous stated, always start by checking the codes!

Check the codes. rofl www.Shotimes.com under "Maintenance" has how to do it if you haven't done it before. Takes just a few minutes.

The problem COULD be a Crank Position Sensor problem. Mine only stalled once while driving, then no problems for several weeks. Then it wouldn't start when warm.

Good luck!
