well tonight at 3 am i went to go leave my buddy's college and my car wouldn't start and oh yeah it is raining fairly hard too. the lights come on and then go off i even used the keyless entry to get in. so my friend and i pushed it and then went down a hill and i jumped it so it started. drove like 30 mins to our homes and it kept dying until i just kind of popped the clutch to keep it going? what could be the problem? my starter is new but i doubt it would make it die while driving. my connectors seem ok but i may take a closer look tomorrow. i wonder if one of the wires is loose going into the connector. but what else could be the problem?

I'm sorry you are having a tough time with your SHO, but you may want to try describing your car's symptoms after a good night of sleep. I hope that helps improve your written communication skills. The answers can only be as good as the questions.

sorry scott. 330 am and i was still soaking wet and very much aggravated. i have had a similar problem before. when i first got to my car i used the keyless entry to get in which means i had power. i then put my keys in the ignition and then nothing. the power completely shut off. open the door, power comes on. try to start and nothing power goes dead. open the hood and the hood light comes on and then i go to start and nothing. i looked at the battery connections and they seem to be on tight so i try to start and nothing. my friend and i push the car and then jump it in 1st gear and it starts. i drive about 30 mins and every time i stoped the car just wanted to shut down completely so i had to keep revving it so it wouldn't die. my car stalls ocassionally from a bouncing idle but this was totally different from the bouncing idle problems. this seems as though there was no power to the car. my temperature gauge remained normal, no pun intended. i am going to go see if the cars starts after sitting for 7 hours and it isn't raining anymore :) .

it is very warm outside and no rain. woo hoo. just tried to start my car and nothing again. just clicked. so i went and took a look at the connections wiggled my positive cable and presto my car started. i believe i have to tighten the thing that holds the cable in place or loosen and reposition the cable and tighten the screws back up. it just figurs that my car dies at like 3 am in the poring rain about 30 miles from home.
