After I replaced the plugs, and the bad wire, everything seemed just fine and power was nice, and the throttle responsive. Driving this morning, the conditions were/are cool and misty with occasional rain. The gas pedal felt heavy and stiff, and the car didn't seem to have the pickup like last night. Anyone have suggestions or similar situations and if so, how did you fix it?

When you say the pedal felt heavy, is that a figure of speech or does it feel like the throttle cable is stiff and hard to press...

Have you had a chance to re-road test once the rain has stopped. Do you think the problem could be realted to moisture. If so, I would check grounds, and possibly the tightness of the DIS. Are the clamps tight on the cross over tube...

It literally feels like it is lugging its own weight. Throttle feels stiff, and no I haven't had a change to get it back out there....I'm at work. I'll try again at lunchtime if it's cleared up.

I assume you pull the intake to change the back plugs. Maybe the throttle cable is not on properly. Or came out of the little track. Letting the car still have a functional throttle, just not correctly.

Maybe use a little dielectric grease on the end of the plug wires. Both on the side that goes on the coil pack and to the plug itself. That should fix her up.
