Car dies when I come to a stop...

I'm having some trouble with my SHO. Sometimes it doesn't want to stay running at a stop. It will "surge" I guess you could say. Also, when the car is cold, the check engine light will be off and the car won't do this. But once it gets into normal operating temp, the check engine light pops on and (sometimes) it will start acting up. However when I put the car in neutral or park, it wont **** itself any ideas????

As suggested, please check the codes and let us know what they are.

2 top candidates in my mind are either the iac is sticky or the torque converter doesn't want to unlock. The iac may or may not set a code, but the torque converter usually will, so there is a good chance the codes will enlighten us.
