I have 1996 SHO with a secure security system that is embeeded into the brain of the car. My car was broken into and I had to put a new steering colum in the replace of the old broken steering colum. So, how can I match the security syatem with the key. Is better to go the dealer or call a lock smith. the key has a chip in it and I would like to keep my security system in tack.

Your key has a chip in it?
Did the thieves smash the key opening with a hammer or something?
Do you still have all the old parts from the old column?
