I have to start the car in first gear. Because once the car is one i can't get it back into gear. It is hard shifting into the other gears but is possible. When i start up hannibal, it will start moving forward as soon as the engine start to turn over. Is my clutch going out? shrug

I know at the local Ford Dealership, they test (as a up-front test to get an idea) if your clutch is going out by putting your car in first gear and starting it. It the car jump/moved forward, it was a sign your clutch was going out. Depending on how much it jumped forward told how bad it was. The more jump, the worse it is.

It doesnt seem like a great technique to me, but it seems to work. shrug

Yep, she's on her way out. The TOB isn't pushing on the pressure plate enough for the fingers to unlock. Now for the bad news. A clutch job on the SHO is very expensive, about $800-900 if you don't do it yourself.

When mine went last year, she was stuck in reverse regardless if the clutch was in/out, or where the stick was! oh_my

Before you get a new clutch check out the clutch pedal quaderant. Mine was doing the same thing recently.

The plastic teeth on the quad was worn out causing slippage of the cable thus not allowing the cable to disengage the tranny.

Texan Tony fixed it where the cable is locked from the clutch pedal to the tranny. Its not adjustable but will never move again either.
