Help! I can't find the M5x.8x90MM bolts for pulling the crank pulley on a '94 3.2L anywhere. Anyone have a Ford part number or other idea? I've tried every car parts store, ever hardware, about 5 bolt specialty stores, etc. I've already torn it down & now I'm stuck.

Do you have any short bolts with those threads? If you, just have someone weld some other bolts on top of them to get you the length you need.

I guess I got lucky.

The $9.99 el-cheapo "universal" puller I snagged at Napa came with the correct bolts. And as I remember, they are the same ones needed to pull the steering wheel on a 1973 VW Squareback. Just in case you needed to know

Use the timing cover bolts. My friend ended up using different ones just because he didn't want to chance breaking mine, however we'd have more problems than just missing a TC bolt if the crank pully had a piece of bolt in it.

I've always used the bolts that come with the pulley puller that I borrow from Autozone.

The timing cover bolts are used to pull the timing belt sprocket.

Still looking

Update. Maybe I wasn't clear on what I needed. I'm changing the timing belt & front crank seal. I need the 2 bolts to fit the front crank pulley (that the timing belt is driven by). Mine is a '94 3.2L ATX. There is only 1 bolt long enough in the timing belt covers to work with a standard puller (it was in the lower cover, center position). The specs say I need 2 M5x.8x90.

I've tried about 35 parts stores, hardware stores, and bolt speciality stores. Bought 2 today, got home & they were the wrong diameter (probably .5 instead of .8).

Any other ideas?

Well apparently the bolt size posted on the Timing Belt Replacement write up is wrong. The one from the timing belt cover that fits is M6x1.0x85 instead. (I took it to Lowes & checked it.) Could anyone check a master Ford CD or manual to verify this for me before I call/drive all over town again? They must fit the pre-drilled holes in the front crank-shaft pulley. Thanks for your help.

I believe you have the correct size. I didn't think that the size you'd stated earlier was correct.

It seems that you have to be lucky to find a store that carries a bolt close to this size. I tried every hardware type store in town, and a NAPA store had ONE bolt that was like 110mm or something. You could try a junkyard. MTX SHOs have two, ATX SHOs have one.
