From what I've heard, it is possible, but it is easier just to buy a SHO with a MTX and put the 3.2L from an ATX in. The ATXs and MTXs use a different subframe, and there is also the shifter issue. The MTX will bolt up to the 3.2 motor, but it's easier to put the 3.2 in a non-ATX SHO.
SilverSHO, where'd your Check Engine Light Avatar go? It really summed up a SHO quite well.
Anyways, the conversion can be done. SHOTYME95 and I will be attempting it this fall/winter on my 95 ATX and when completed we will have a full writeup on it. They say it can't be done or has never been done. Well, there's a first time for everything. You need a lift and a lot of tool 's ! thumbs_u
