Do you have to run the car up to 3,900 rpms ? I screwed up the vacuum routing when putting my intake back on and just straightened it out but one of the scenarios I tried closed the rear bank only and when I shut off the car they didn't open. rant
Any suggestions ?

What part of CT are you from? If they don't open at 4k there is something wrong. I'd be glad to come by and help you out.

You can "manually" test the vacuum motors by disconnecting their vaccum supply line from the vacuum control valve and connecting it directly to the vacuum port on the rear of the intake manifold.

By connecting and disconnecting the hose while the engine is running, you can see if the motors are working properly.

The secondaries are closed by vacuum and opened by releasing the vacuum and allowing the springs in the actuators to stroke in the other direction. If one bank is not opening, there is either constant vacuum supplied to the actuator or an interference preventing it from freely stroking open.

I'm in Colchester (about 25 mins east of hartford) and thanks for the help but let me test run the car and see if the secondaries on the rear bank open at 3,900 by themselves. It won't be till tomorrow at the earliest however.
