There is one for sale in the For Sale section going for $1000+shipping. It's a 3.0 bored to 3.2L w/stock compression, new pistons, polished crank, etc, etc, etc.

They stopped making them a long time ago, so there ain't no such thing as a "new" one.

If somebody has one that's "unused", i.e., been sitting somewhere since new, then the seals and everything are suspect, anyway. A rebuilt or well-maintained runner could easily be a better deal.

As Eric said, there are no brand new motors left which are available through the dealer network.

There are undoubtedly an indeterminate number in private hands and a few buried in various odd warehouses that nobody (even the warehouse owners) know is there.

The Ford catalog data is basically for reference. You can look up all sorts of discontinued parts that haven't been available for years.

Well, I got mine off a guy at SHO Club.com, he had his tucked away, and I was just lucky enough to see it when I had the $$. So yea, if anyone else finds one that is truley unused, let me know, because I can say I have the last 0 mile short block that I have seen! :) I have pics up around here somewhere if you wanna see that dull grey lookin block. FrontThis is after I stuck a few things on the front of it, and changed the freeze plugs.

I saw a whole crate 3.2 engine on eBay about 3 years ago, it went for $1800. If I remember right, it had been in the guy's garage for a number of years.
I also saw a 2nd gen sho a year or two ago on eBay (I think a blue 95, there's probably a thread about it somewhere) with about 500 miles on it that was parked for 10 years after the dealer tags ran out, it went for about $10,000! (somebody probably thought SHOs would go up in value and garaged it...that's quite a loss from the $25000 sticker price!)

Currently working on a 3.2L for a guy in CA (that's part of the soon to be SHO engine 101 teardown/rebuild DVD) that's a 3.2L, using 21,000 mile base parts/castings, heads, cams (obviously with new components/seals, etc). Using a lot of OEM NIB components that are getting hard to find, including valve springs, oil pump, tensioners, etc. Be about as "new" as you can get, and better than anything that ever left the factory
