Well can it? I have an intermittent high idle problem. It only seems to happen after driving the car for a while (>15 min.) If I come to a complete stop the idle will sit at about 1200-1400. If I turn the car off then turn it back on, idle goes back to normal. It doesn’t seem to be temperature dependant, because it happened when driving in mid day 90 degree temps and at night 60-70 degree temps.
Does the VSS control the speedo? 'Cause if it does my speedo does not and has not read correctly for a couple of years and I was wondering if it got so bad that at idle, car not moving, that it was telling the computer that the car was moving and to bump up the idle. Any ideas?
