I was looking into getting my cams welded there since it would be closest for me, and I think somebody had some bad experiences with him. Could be wrong though. You'll have to let me know how it goes since I still need to get mine welded. Make sure you take pictures of the weld job. Good luck!
I don't know about cam welding, but I know that Eric otherwise has a great reputation. He's the one that built John Hrinsen's 3.6L lightweight SHO motor. I think he has the 2nd and 3rd mortgage on John's house too???
In that case definitely let me know how it goes because I may look him up soon if he will weld another one after yours. Canfield isn't that far of a drive for me and I need to get mine welded. Keep me posted...
I've known Eric for a, well, LONG time. He's one of the best drivers I've ever been on track with. As far as a cam welder, I'd say he's one of the best.
Call first. He'll do a good job for you.
If not, come on down to Atlanta. We'll get you fixed up.
Eric welded my '98 back in the day. Geez, I forget what year. I was still in WV, so it had to be 2002 or 2003, May/June. Everything's still holding together.
I got a ATX from that Doug guy back in Jan. 2005. It's pretty good stuff, too.
Been reading alot of the info at V8sho for awhile now and stumbled upon this forum just recently. I know this may be a little late but I figured I'd throw in my 2 cents as well. I had my cams welded by Eric last fall and he did a great job. Also changing a few coilpacks (all I could afford) a few feet of fuel line and a couple other things along with the weld. I have also contacted him about a aux trans cooler but being on the verge of finishing college my finances are a little shaky. Anyways he was very knowledgeable about the SHO and very timely.
