And where can I get the torx settings....
I'm doing the water pump, cps, crank seal, cam seals, etc.?

Thanks, Mike

And I now know how to put my pics up here, so Thanks!

Does anybody know any SHO mechanic type people up here in NY? Glens Falls, NY.

Most folks drill a small hole in the seal, insert a sheet metal screw and pull with pliers. The back bank exhaust cam seal is tough to access and it would help to have a Dremel tool and/or flexible drill extension.

MTX or ATX? I have a pdf procedure for the MTX timing belt, but you should be using a shop manual. Doing this job wihtout one is almost a guarantee of something not done properly and that is much more expensive than buying even the Chilton's manual.

Hello,

I joined PhotoIsland, but didn't see a spot to mention your name. Where would that be and I will.

Are the blue arrows the cam seals?
Are the red arrows the camshaft?
The back arrow cam is leaking. The front ok. And I don't know about the 3rd. Where would that be??

Can I replace just the leaking one? Or all 3 or ?

Thanks you've been a great deal of help to me and others as I see in the post. So THANK YOU!

Do like Sdpatt said to remove the seals. You can also puncture it with a flathead screwdriver and pry it out. I'm pretty much a newbie as well. My friend and I were dumbfounded for atleast 30 minutes when trying to do the front crank seal, which is very similar. You definately don't need a cam seal installer tool like the helms shop manual says. Just make sure you put them in the same way they came out. The lips should be facing inside the valve cover. As for which seals to replace, it all depends on how old your car is, how much you want to pay for seals, and how much time you want to spend replacing all the seals. I upgraded camshafts, so I did all of the seals at once. It's entirely up to you. Those seals are pretty good in my opinion. I haven't seen one leak on my car yet, and they're all over the place.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I've only really started to deal with deaths last year. Atleast 5 people died that I knew of. It was quite scarey and upsetting especially when my mother's brother died leaving his 2 boys without parents because their mother is brain dead due to alcoholism, 5 years in a coma, and hospital neglect.

If you need any more numbers or advice just let us know. I tried to think back on 60k and give you all the numbers you would need, but I may have missed a few. I can't stress how important it is to be careful with the valve cover bolts. I snapped 2 the other day with my torque wrench. I think it's out of calibration due to others misuse of my tool, but I know the bolts are fragile to begin with. Good luck.
