I am changing my ECT and Cam sensor and I have no idea where to find either. I've heard the cam sensor is by the firewall but where and what does it look like. I have no idea where the ECT is. Also I have heard it helps to replace the TPS? Is that true? If anyone has pictures that would be great.

Cam Position Sensor is on the passenger side of the rear head. It is on the cam itself (outside the head). It's about 2.5" round, and is black. The Engine Coolant Temp sensor is on the driver's side, under the throttle body. There are 3 things on that side, looking at it from the driver's fender, (front of car to back), are Temp Sender (for the gauge), t-stat, and ECT. TPS is on the throttle body, and is 2 phillips head screws & an electrical connector.

Thanks for the quick response. How hard are they to change??? Is the cam sensor hard to do?

Would changing the ECT help with an apparent rich condition? The reason I suspect this is because of the sooty black coating on the exhaust tips and also the smoking about 4k rpm. If not what should I do is the smoke normal? It doesn't seem normal.
