Is it possible to purchase the Slider Pins, without buying a new Caliper. I know that when you buy a new caliper the slider pins come with it.

Yes. I think that you ask for the boot and the pin comes with it.

Thanks alot Scott. I got another question for you if you get this...is there a way to check your axles to make sure they are functioning properly and doing what they should??

I fixed these yesterday. They are available from Ford packaged for one wheel. I was going to do both rear sets of guide pins but when the lady told me they were $32 bucks a wheel, I gave her some **** about that. She discounted them to $26, I still only got 'em for the wheel that was bad.

I actually didn't use the kit though. The rubbers were good and not torn, so I cleaned the rust off the pins and tried to clean it out of the slots. A little Never Seize and a prayer, we'll see how it goes. I'm not going to replace the pins until I replace the bracket they go in, no sense in wasting the expensive pins in a rusty hole.

I can get the part number of the pack if you want it tonight, I know they had trouble looking it up when I went but I knew they had it because I had to do the same thing to a Lincoln before.

Good luck with yours.

Just an F Y I,, that's for the 93 and up solid rear rotors, right? The 92 and older vented rotors (might) use a different size pin. Oh, yeah, the fronts and rears are different.

Right you are, the number I posted was for my '93 solid rear disc.

F3DZ-2B296-A is for solid rotors and has the shorter slider pins.

E7SZ-2B296-A is for vented rotors and has the longer pins with the hex head on them.

I got mine from autozone and napa. I got the last set that autozone had and then another from napa. cost like $20. So a little cheaper and local. Hope it helps.

93 SHO cool, do you need front/rears, or all? I have a set of rears, (all 4), if you would need them...... Fronts I may be able to come up with as well.... Its for a 93, right? Depending on what you need, I would just send it, for the cost of shipping..... As long as you would send the ship costs after received.... email [email protected]
