bypass crank sensor???

is there a way to bypass or test the crank sensor without pulling my motor apart again to see if maybe I intstalled it wrong??

There is really one way to install it. The little clip part fits around the metal "lip" that is attached to the crank and behind the timing pulley. If you screwed the sensor to the block with the 2 small phillips screws, chances are that you installed it correctly.... Given the metal lip rotates into the C chaped part of the sensor.

I dont think you can bypass it. to my knowledge you need that sensor for the engine to run:thumb:

It really only mounts as described above, but did you gap the sensor? .030
If not it could still give you troubles.

Gapping the crank sensor help's to ensure that the CPS shutter wheel is centered in the slot of the sensor. If it's off too far, the first time you rotate the engine, the shutter wheel will hit the CPS sensor. You will then have to get back in there, and change the sensor again. Not fun.
