I had a few stone chips in my windshield and today when I was on the highway multiple cracks formed.

scary ****!!

Is the ford taurus SHO windshield different than the windshield from a regular 95 Taurus sedan?

They only listed a regular 95 Taurus sedan or wagon, no mention of the SHO.

I got one of those mobile windshield guys coming to replace it within the next 18 hours or so, just wanted to confirm its the right one before they chop my windshield out.

TIA

was $190 and they came to my work and did it there.

They took their time with it and did an excellent job installing it, they spent probably close to an hour just cleaning and prepping the car to install the windshield.

No rust or anything underneath the old windshield which is a bonus.

what a huge difference having a new windshield!! It's almost like trying out prescription glasses for the first time. I can actually see at night and when it rains without being blinded by glare / headlight reflections!

There were two things I did when I had the last windhield installed, that later proved very helpful.

One, cleaned the backside of the glass before they installed it - for those impossible to reach areas once it's installed.

Two, Rain-Xed the front as soon as he said it was safe to apply slight pressure. I found that immediately applying Rain-X prevents those permanent rain water spots - that always seem to form after the first rain on new window glass.
