Just so I don't tighten it, what direction should I set my wrench to? Or on the other hand, just I just use a breaker bar without a direction selection? And on that note, what direction will the wrench move once the crank is moving?

Righty tighty, lefty, lucy.

Put your breaker bar so that the handle is towards the front of the car and resting on the sub frame. Make sure your DIS is unplugged!

When you put it back together, use some loc tite on the crank bolt.

On the crank bolt? I'd use blue. You are, eventually, going to take it back off again. The only bolts/screws I would use red loc-tite on are the butterfly screws.

Glad it worked for you. My crank bolt still won't come off.
I wrecked 2 wrenches just from the awesome force of the starter :nut:

I'll have a breaker bar tomorrow.

Unless you have your starter rewired, you can't tighten it no matter which way the wrench is/set.
