Broken Waterpump

hey everybody this is matt in southern cali,well my water pump left me on the side of the road today(well saturday)got a couple of questions.first is it easy to do it myself and how much? :thumb:

It is like $130-$150 for a new one, and around $60 for a remanufactured one.

You can do it but it takes a good amount of work to do it. I caould help though I have not done one.

hey loudsho thanke for the offer,thats way cool.the nice thing about me working at a shop is that i have some lifts to do it on.but since weve never done it do think wed look like two monkies running around with our heads cut of matt?

way down south,inland from oceanside but work in encinitas,the coolest part is that we have usage to a lift.hte o.k. part is that i get to drive my 94 honda civic,but hey for 400 you really cant beat it.its teal green so all of you can laugh :thumb:

Would love to help..but..the with graveyard shift, our schedules don't work in our favor....lol LoudSHO92 is a good "replacement" though...lol 2 Matt's...1 SHO...interesting....lol

I can dot it.I have a Ford Manual and I thaught myself to do cams so a waterpump should be easy. I hope...... :biggrin:

It is a piece of cake and i'm sure Matt (loudsho) can figure it out after a few attemtps..... :biggrin:. Just make sure that you get the felpro water pump gasket kit with new O-rings. If you don't replace those O-rings it will leak worse. Also make sure you smooth the block down real nice where the smaller O-ring pushes up against it, otherwise that will leak also.
