My friends 89 has a broken tranny case how much would it be to fix and can you fix it without having to replace it

small hole not to big but we have not torn the tranny down yet to see so i hope the the diff is not screwed up but chance are it is. Other question is how much a new tranny would cost

Well, you can get a "used" tranny from prices of $50 on up. Depends where you buy it. I know someone on this board who found one in a junk yard and bought it for very cheap.

It was just laying in the middle of one of the aisles between an ****** and a Tempo. All I had to do was pick it up and pay for it. Got love that thumb
