Well, i figured today would be the day i get the engine back together and see if my CPS swap worked. So i got a new tensioner, a screw in the old one chewed out the threads. I try tightening the new one in place and its going in crooked. Turns out the old tensioner also wore out the stud that hold the tensioner in place. Any ideas on what i do next? I'm thinking about taking a chisel to it.....and seeing where that gets me....i can't drill at it straight...its too tight. Help anyone?

well i started using the flat chisel. I figure i could put a slash in it and then pop it out with a screwdriver....but i'm running the risk of making it flush so i'll be waiting on ideas :-/

FWIW, all the dowel pins on the engine are the same size.

That pin is aluminum and it was part of the old tensioner , its not a steel pin that was broken off the engine bracket.

You can drill it , even if its not straight as long as you drill the alu , you are golden.

A couple of drills and it will fall off on its own. its only 1/4 inch thick.
