Broken subframe mount!

When I put my car in reverse I heard this loud clunk, I got out and seen the right subframe hanging 2" from the body! I was like "What the ****!". Word to the wise, if any of you live in the rust belt, be sure to wash the undercarriage often. Mine was rusted so bad the hardware broke.

Washing it won`t help.The bolt inside the subframe rots out.That`s why there is a recall for it.The original bolt is a bad design.

You sure could have.They replace the rear bolts,nuts,and if they are worn,the bushings themselves.I`m pretty sure that if you bring a Ford dealer your recipt,they will reimburse you.I think i remember hearing that somewhere.The recall only covers the rear,but i broke my front about 2 years ago also.

I believe they are also responsible for damages as well. Call your local trusty dealer and tell them what happened.

Luckily nothing happened, I went to the Ford dealer to get the parts. All the guy said was "damn, sorry to hear that."
