Shortly after installing the new engine my power steering hose on the high pressure side of the power steering pump made a loud pop while making a U-Turn and quickly pumped all the fluid out. When I added fluid it started leaking out at the fitting without the car running. The 90 degree elbow looks really close to the firewall and appears to possibly be hitting the firewall under load. I replaced all the P/S lines from NAPA before installing the engine. Any suggestions on the possibly cause?

Busted front MM?

When I did the PS pump on my car, I went to NAPA too. Your engine is moving too much.

Maybe they gave you the wrong hose?

Ooo, another thing. You said it happened while you were turning.

Are your sub-frame bushings in good shape?

the hose is different for the atx car than the mtx car - the atx car has a longer length before the bend, because the engine sits farther forward. the atx hose on an mtx car will cause that bend to contact the firewall.
