I have a 2010 SHO. The oil dipstick broke off in the dipstick tube. Does anyone have any experience getting that out of the tube?

Yes I did that, those damn wires get in the way. I was already taking the valve covers off so it was easy but I would save that as a last resort, try a pare of needle nose pliers. I was also able to use some guerrilla glue to reattach it instead of buying a new dip stick.

Depends. IS there enough metal to be exposed for a magnet? Is the plastic broken with plastic still attached to the top of the broken end? a few ideas and you can modify any of these approaches or drop the oil pan and push it out from down there, remove the tube, or send to a pro. I'd try magnet if enough metal is exposed and compressed air first if not cuz lazy..

Remember to have a replacement avaialable when you remove it --or cap it off/plug it until you get one.

This actually has me thinking about an old school all metal replacement for the one in my truck if someone sells one.

Heat cycling and the amount of plastics under the hood is getting ridiculous
