It seems I broke the hard plastic vaccuum line off the portion of the EGR that connects to the intake. What can I replace it with? Would rubber vaccuum line work?

Yup. Just make sure it's free enough that it won't kink.

You can also use a short section of rubber hose to join the two ends of the broken plastic line. A cheap, quick and simple fix.

Thanks a bunch guys. I just bought some vaccuum line for like $3. It fixed it right up.
