Hey guys, I just purchased my 2010 SHO 3 days ago and am pretty excited about it. It only had 17,000 miles on it and I just caught it at the dealership from being traded in a few days ago. I wanted to inquire about basic performance upgrades but at the same time keeping the car very reliable. I use the car everyday for work, driving on multiple appointments a day. I was thinking of starting with a cold air intake and going from there. I was looking at tunes and such but don't know too much about it all just yet. Any recommendations are welcome and I am glad to be part of the community!

Welcome to the community, and congrats on your '10 SHO! A tune is usually the easiest & most bang-for-the-buck upgrade you can make to the SHO. Then come along more "physical" upgrades like downpipes, catback exhaust, lower temp TStat, CAI, etc. Depending on how firm you like your ride, H&R springs or Megan coilovers might be on your list.

If you are going for looks, a CAI will jazz up the engine compartment, and H&R springs/Megan coilovers will give the SHO a more aggressive stance.

I just bought a 2010 with 17k on the clock too! Too funny! Let me know if you have any questions about upgrading with your budget in mind. I'm all about "most bang for the buck" and for less than $750 I am pulling 4.1 secs to 60mph ;)

What upgrades have you done? Mine is in the shop right now, I think it's a fuel pump. I want to do a cool air intake then possibly a tune or exhaust.

I have:
Drop in K&N filter
Livernois 93 octane tune
160F thermostat
3-bar MAP sensor
.030 gapped SP534 plugs
and a partridge in a pear tree.

What part of florida are you in? I'm switching to a different Cold Air intake. So I'm looking at selling my AirAid. I'll be in New Smyrna Beach for vacation from Dec 26th to Jan 4th.

Oh nice! I am just south of there in Jupiter. Unfortunatly I will be out of town until Jan 6th. Thanks for the offer. Why are you switching? Also, to Bosscav why did you choose k&n instead of airaid? I am a little confused on which CAI to go with.

I don't have a cold air intake (CAI) just a drop in K&N filter. I have recently learned that with the EcoBoost engine, though a CAI both looks and sounds good, it actually can reduce performance. That's kind of like throwing away $300 so I'm not going to go that route.

Downpipes are another great way to pick up horsepower and let the turbos spool sooner.

I was thinking of running the K&N drop in filter. Do you have any dyno numbers with the mods. 4.1 sec 0-60 is pretty solid!!!
