Yeah, you're both right. My research was definitely inadequate and I confirmed the $300 "licensing" transfer fee when I spoke to them about possibly returning. And to sm105k, not a dick. Just dropping some knowledge and helping me learn a tough lesson. Wish I woulda joined here before and simply asked around a bit first. Live and learn...

No harm no foul. We see this time to time. Even though this forum is SHO dedicated, 4th and 5th sub forums are the most active, so we see what works and what doesn't.

You have to remember, the 4th and 5th Gens have been around for 10 years now. LMS was a good tuning company. The 2010-2012 cars (4th Gen) ran good. They didn't have many issues. However in 2013+ (5th Gen) the ECU changed, and LMS struggled to execute a tune that performed better and was safer then other tuners.

I would install the items on your car like @ridered74 suggested. If you are looking for a bump the LMS tune will provide that. However, you will be leaving more performance on the table. Also with LMS you can only use them for the tuner. If there is something funky with the LMS tune, email or call them directly A.S.A.P.

If you jump ship later down the road, I would suggest Gearhead. Their Auto Octane tune is pretty damn cool. You will have to buy another tuning device (most likely a SCT), however....you will be able to use numerous other tuners that tune with SCT.

They have a few other major failures that have occurred, besides just mine, and they still haven't addressed the issues, and the other owners are out even more than I was/am.

Which was significant in and of itself.

Those owner's have been (strongly) encouraged to post about their experiences and to date, they're still trying to give 'L' a chance, but the frustration level(s) continue to increase with each impasse.

I would no longer recommend them at all, as I did the same by being L's most ardent, diehard advocate/proponent for years, and trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, despite all the issues being brought up by others, and how they were never resolved etc. etc.

I got told by L's staff, on numerous occasions, how everyone else was to blame and that their products were inferior and their service top notch and blah blah blah.

Hit me like a ton of bricks when it happened to me personally and I did my best keeping my mouth shut for 3 mo.'s plus, while I gathered data, facts, etc. before posting.

Even then, their responses left A LOT to be desired.

Never, ever, ever again.

If it were me I'd install everything except the tuner, sell it for what you can on Ebay, and buy a tuner from Unleashed or another reputable brand.

I was originally going to go with LMS. From everything I’ve read both on the forums and on almost every SHO Facebook page, I’m glad I went with Gearhead instead.
