Hey guys,

Not sure if this has been posted but I want to hear what other experiences are with our brakes and rotors. What's the common life of them and once they have worn through what are the best options for both pads and rotors?

I'm ask because my dealership is telling me I need new front brakes and am running warped rotors (also need to be relaxed). Not sure how this has happen at 30k miles, but I'm not sure what the norm for wear is. I have a 2011 with PP.

Thanks in advance.

mine needed to be refinished after like nothing. i think are brakes are underpowered and they just overcompensate somehow. i was told my pads were "glazed" and both rotors were warped. if it happens again im getting some ebc rotors and pads.

Thanks for the reply Calgary!

Know of any good aftermarket rotors, or performance vedors for our cars? Doesn't seem like the big names have kits or rotors for our applications.

BETTER kits are provided by PowerStop, EBC, etc. BIGGER kits are, so far, only supplied by TCE to my knowledge.

ebc ultimax slotted with ebc green/red/yellow pads seem to be the best replacement i plan on getting them next year or next time my rotors are "Warped"

Thanks guys!

Any buddy know what the upgraded brake pads are on the 2011 performance package, maybe a part number or anything. Asked my service advisor about it and he told me it was the same pad off the standard SHO... Claimed it was a "marketing scheme."

Has anyone had experience with Hawks ceramic pads? I'm considering StopTech slot rotors with Hawks ceramic.
