Well, it would appear that my brake neglect has finally come to bite me in the ass.

Brakes do not always release immediately after releasing the pedal. I think the slider pins are yet again seizing (i polished them and lubbed them up last summer). I am gonna replace the pads, rotors and brackets as well as put in some dot4 fluide. Shoudl I replace teh calipers as well? They are rusty on the outside, but from what I understand all my brake problems are currently centered around the slider pins...

Good old Montreal. If the salt doesn't get you the potholes and million stop signs will. Check the condition of the calipers. If the piston rubber seal is torn replace it for a rebuilt unit. If its OK then check the rubber seals for the sliders. If torn the sliders will need cleaning only to corrode later so replace those seals too.

I find rotors only last 2 years in this city so if you have vibrations while braking you may need to spend more. frown

I just re-did the slider pins so I am gonna say screw it and just replace them. The rubber seals are fine however, no tears. Can I just buy slider pins and the associated rubber? Or do i have to replace the entire bracket?

From what I remember when I was changing the parking-brake cables last summer the rear caliper rubber looked good.

Maybe all I need are new slider pins with rubber, new rotors and new pads...

Yes, the car is parked underground along with 40 other vehicles, some of them antiques. Unfortunately my landlord doesn't allow any mechanical work to be done on them, it is only for "parking".
This cold weather sucks bigtime. I hope it'll get warmer soon so I can do my slider pins too. The passenger side rear brake pads are unevenly worn out. I'm thinking it's the slider pins.

NAPA Ceramix front and rear pads
NAPA High Quality 10.6" rotors
