Recently, I went to JMS for an SCT tune update. They asked me to try a new product for Ecoboost, that hadn't been tried on an SHO. It pigtails into the stock harness with factory connectors. It has an in cab **** for boost control. I have an aggressive tune. It makes a large difference over and above the tune in power. Large.

I don't have a boost gauge. We did get into what seemed to be over boost once with the full boost tune. I'm told that should be ~25# at the intercooler inlet. Monty took 3lbs out of the tune, and has the computer pulling up to 16* out if it sees detonation. Even at @70% on the controller, it feels way stronger than ~5# tune only. They've made 80+/80+ at the wheels on otherwise stock trucks with the controller. It's a good option for the money.

please enlighten me, I have called myself following these forums closely enough to have seen a thread about boostmax. I do know it is tempting to turn it up. I ordered a bunch of torco unleaded additive, and am going colder on the plugs.

Experimenting with something that doesn't have a long, proven track record on our Ecoboosts takes a certain amount of bravery, I think.

Torrie announced the product on my forums (link in sig) and lots of Ecoboost discussions there for SHO, more than anywhere else. :)
Please stop by and let people know you're testing it.
Also if you have an SCT we can send you a config so you can data log and post them so we can review.
Video would also be nice.
BTW, you can get a boost gauge just by purchasing an inexpensive bluetooth OBD2 adapter and using Torque Pro on your android phone.

If in fact your running 25lbs of boost, you'd best be careful. No one is running any where close to that with stock turbo's or even modified ones.

Peak boost or continuous boost? Trucks have different turbos than the SHOs.
