Your boost level is definitely read by the OBDII PCM, I just don't know if and how you can display it. I use a ScangaugeII in my Crown Vic, which is similar to the interceptor, except it can display 4 values at a time and it's refresh rate is only about every 2 seconds.

I know the Scangauge will read manifold pressure, but it comes out in inches of Hg and you can't change the units, so it's hard to compare to psi unless you know the conversion off of the top of your head.

There ware many analog boost gauges that rust run by tapping a vacuum line into a pressurized part of the intake piping. They're pretty simple to install. I did one on my dad's Powerstroke F-350.

I have a DashDAQ but they still don't support the 2010 ford specific ODBII parameters (apparently Ford changed everything in 2009/2010 and all the codes are different) so I only get about 40-50 of the core ODBII codes (and no boost numbers), hopefully they will update the software soon and I can get everything :/

http://www.dashdaq.com/ (by the way the newer ones are all black and look a lot better than the ones they still show on their page)

p.s. it also supports all kinds of other sensors, so you could hook up something like what typhoon5000 is talking about with it.

I have a Scangage II in my 08 Mustang and it barly shows anything. Fords fault I guess (no oil pressure even). The VEI gage is a real boost gage and probably what I'll go with, which gets me back to the original question; is there a open port on the intake manifold? I don't want to have to drill and tap my wifes new car.

Thanks for the imput.

Srt 4 boost

These types of gauges are the best.. They make them electronic and analog but I love having the needle. You can see it in the corner of your eye while staying focused on the road. Your brain learns where what psi and vacuum spots are and you learn to drive and save more fuel and also when you get on it you can see what's going on without even looking. Those digital display ones are ehh more for looks? You have to stare at the thing while driving.. Although it is a 2010 and a needle gauge might look weird if you find one that matches the gauge cluster it would look goood..

We only have 12 psi (so far) and you hardly use any of the Autometer scale. The VEI gage is slectable for full scale and you do get an led segmented graph as well as the digital display. There are a few youtube videos if you want to see it in action.

I use a real boost gauge in my 2005 Mustang GT with Kenne Bell. I teed in at the boost-a-pump switch. All you need to do is find a hose with manifold vacuum and T it.
