There are a few bolts missing. Where can I get replacements?

yeah, shoshop hasn't answered their phone all week
I am missing 2 or 3 bolts for the s/c to the bracket (not sure of the lengths...
and one for the bracket to the car... assuming there are a total of 3. Is there supposed to be a bolt directly underneath the one the goes to the alternator?
Maybe I could post a pic...

David;

Are you missing only the bolts, or are you missing the machined spacers that go between the blower and the bracket where the bolts go thru?

See pic...

Its hard to get a clear pic.
Also, I am missing one of the smaller bolts (at 11:00 from the BLUE fitting in Pats pic.) that hold a plate?.
What about the 3rd bolt hole down (where there's NO spacer)... is a bolt supposed to go there?

Okay - much better. You are missing the idler pulley, see this picture of Pat's car I took tonight.

It also appears that you are missing atleast 2 other bolts.

There's supposed to be an additional idler pulley, really all it does is give extra belt wrap to the blower and alternator to reduce slipage. The pulley looks like this one. The stock pulleys stay in their respective places.

Could this be why I'm not pulling max boost till I hit 3rd?

Without that extra pulley, your getting much less belt to wrap around the pulley and probably getting a fair amount of slippage.

Yes.
I also found that if you let a belt slip too much for too long, you can ruin it's gripping ability, kind of like glazing a clutch disk. The solution is to not let it slip in the first place.

TexanTony told me he had shoshop send him one a while back (for the v1) and it was a tad too big (wrong size)... do you know if this is definitely the one... or could there be another one... perhaps for an older/newer version of the v1 model.
Thanks for the info!!!!!!!!!!!1 :thumb:

There are two smooth (non-cogged) pulleys offered by Vortech, one is larger than the other. The larger one is around 3.5 inches in diameter while the smaller is around 3-inches in diameter and has no side channels. The one I posted in the link is the smaller of the pulleys.

Perhaps Terry (TWR) can post on this subject. He has been looking at this same issue.

My pulley bit the dust on Thursday night and I'm in the process of replacing it. I found locally (Napa) a pulley that I think might work, but it is only a pulley, and does not include the bolt or spacer that is included with the vortech pulley.

The picture of the failed pulley shows where the pulley separated from the bearing.

Vortech sells two pulleys for this application. Do not buy this one

You want this one
4fa016-170.gif
which can be found here http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com...=PROD&Store_Code=VEOS&Product_Code=4FA016-170

I made the mistake of buying the larger one, it doesn't work. Thankfully I was able to source an off the shelf pulley that worked with the hardware that came with the larger one. You will need to buy a longer bolt (M12/1.75x80mm, IIRC) and a couple of washers of varying thickness so you can line the pulley up w/ the belt.

Hope that helps..
