I think I know the answer to this question (pretty sure it's no) but figured I would ask. I have a 2010 SHO and every time I choose "User Input Media" it defaults to Line In. I never have anything connected to the Line In and my phone is connected via Bluetooth. Is there any way to make Bluetooth the default input? Or am I stuck with going into the media setting and choosing Bluetooth?

Do you have Sync ?

In my 2013 and the 2016, I just hit the voice command button and say "bluetooth stereo".

I do have Sync and I'll have to try that because I don't usually use the voice commands. Thanks.

It should only default to something that has a connection made. I think I would try resetting the Sync system.

Does resetting the Sync system delete the hard drive and all the songs? What exactly am I going to lose from a reset? And is it an option in the system to reset or how is it done?

The info from Ford may or may not work in practice (LOL), but gotta start somewhere!

A plethora of owner manuals here:
https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/owner-manuals-search-results.html#/ymm/2010/Ford/Taurus

In particular, this one:
http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/catalog/owner_guides/10sycsy2e.pdf

Pg 43

Performing a master reset
A master reset allows you to completely erase all information stored in
SYNC (all phone book, call history and text message information as well
as all previously paired phones) and return to the factory default
settings. To perform a master reset:
Note: To scroll, press < SEEK > or up/down arrows .
1. Press or PHONE to enter the PHONE MENU.
2. Scroll repeatedly until SYSTEM SETTINGS appears in the radio display.
3. Press OK to enter the SYSTEM SETTINGS menu.
4. Scroll repeatedly until ADVANCED appears in the radio display. Press
OK.
5. Scroll repeatedly until MASTER RESET appears in the radio display
6. Press OK. SYNC will ask you to confirm the reset.
7. Press OK to confirm. The radio display will read RESET DONE.
SYNC will take you back to the ADVANCED SETTINGS menu.
Note: Once a master reset has been completed, you must re-insert your
USB device to access its contents.

Ford also has HOWTO information here:
https://owner.ford.com/how-tos.html

For a master reset:

I do not believe a master reset deletes stuff from the hard drive. iirc, you must delete things one at a time to take them off that...
