I RECENTLY PURCHASED A GEN II SHO. WHEN I FIRST GOT THE CAR IT WAS RUNNING STRONG AND HAD NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. LAST WEEKEND I WAS DRIVING AROUND MY LOCAL STREETS WHEN THE TWO REAR BUSHINGS FOR THE ENGINE CRADLE COMPLETELY ROTTED OUT AND BROKE  . I STOPPED BY A LOCAL SHOP WHERE THEY WORK ON SEMIS AND GOT TWO HUGE WASHERS JUST TO HOLD THE CRADLE UP UNTIL I CAN GET NEW BUSHINGS. I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO PUT THE BUSHINGS IN YET BECASUSE THEY HAVENT ARRIVED. NO WHEN I DRIVE AROUND AND THERE IS EXTRA LOAD ON THE ENGINE ONE OF THE 60 AMP **** FUSES FOR THE IGNITION BLOW AND THE CAN JERKS LIKE IT STALLS BUT I DOESNT ACTUALLY STALL. THE CAR WONT START AFTER I TURN IT OFF UNTIL I PUT IN A NEW FUSE. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY IT DOES THIS :bonk: SO I CAN BY THIS SITE TO SEE IT ANY OF YOU SHO ENTHUSIATS MIGHT OF CAME ACROSS THIS PROBLEM BEFORE. PLEASE GET BACK TO ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I WIL BE CHECKING THE SITE PERIODICALLY THROUGH OUT THE DAY TO SEE IF THERE ARE ANY UPDATES. THANKS TO ALL YOU FELLOW SHO OWNERS :thumb: .

Welcome to the forum!

I believe that in the owners manual it tells what each fuse does. It you take a look in there it should give you some more insight as to what that fuse is running.

Also, post what fuse is blowing...maybe someone knows what that one runs.

BTW, small letters are our friends too... :thumb:

There was a huge safety recall for those rear bushings. I'd contact your local Ford dealer to see if they will cover the repair and install the new bushings, bolts and nuts.

Was the 60a fuse blowing before the subframe bushings collapsed and the bolts broke?

As suggested, please don't use all caps.

If your subframe bushings failed, it may be due to a safety recall that was not performed.

Call your local dealer with your VIN # to see if the recall is still open on your car.

Always state your year, engine, transmission, etc when asking a question. There are year-to-year differences.

Helpful SEARCHes will include "subframe bushing recall" or "subframe bushings".

You are probably getting an intermittent short circuit when the engine moves around under torque. Once you fix the moving subframe, the problem will likely go away. The problem is likely in the starter circuit.

Welcome aboard. Please take the time to read the "How do I..." forum and look at all the sticky posts in all the other forums for common problems.
