anyone have any ET's you wanna share? I went to the track tonight (1/8 mile).
squint
It was a joke.
Of course, I was afraid to launch it hard (no quaife). But still... times were HORRIBLE. My sick 90 had better times than this!
I also had a time shifting... this cable shifter is ROUGH... very HARD to engage... especially 3rd.
No doubt the power is THERE, but harnessing it must be a challenge.
1st gear, prior to 4500 rpms there was some hesitation... almost like a MISS
Check engine light is on... I need to see whats up...

Did you buy this car thinking it would be fast in the 1/8th mile?

The SHO is already a poor drag car. Add a ton of peak power, and its only going to get worse.

David, please please please get the quaife, its only gonna get worse, as in BOOM! Get some drag radials as well. Without these too that car is gonna suck when it comes to the track.

Get that rod shifter in there ASAP!

Make the HD axles your last purchase. Not that they are bad. I'm looking forward to purchasing some once we get the tranny breaking thing resolved.

You really much rather have an axle snap than a tranny go boom. Its much easier to change an axle.

After putting in a quaife and the tranny upgrade....which people are working on.
I've got a Quaife, but I don't have the $6000 for Josh's gearset.
Can you choose your own ratios? Anyone aware of enhancements performed to the gearsets for the extra strength?

It is still in production right now, ask josh at shonut whats up with it, i know i am looking forward to it when it comes out, but $6000 is a lil steep.

Murph are you and tony comin up with something of your own?

For an NA SHO a quaife is enough.

For a S/C car, a quaife is a MUST!

No you can't pick your own gear ratio's. There was a post maybe a month ago which Josh explained all about the HD gear set. Here I found the thread here.
IIRC they designed some of the gears to be wider, but don't quote me on it. Also IIRC they would be around $6K and he wanted a couple people at one time buying them.

I think a quaife transaxle will run you $21,000 give or take :)

If i was rich... :D

the stock gearbox does not make for nice shifts as we all know (even with rod shifter it doesnt even come close to most european/import cars)

thats the first problem id get rid of!
