The blower motor on my 92 is going crazy. When I start the car it comes on full blast, even though the climate control is OFF. It will go off, but it comes on spuraticaly later. I pulled the fuse for it since I don't need it right now. But now I hear a relay clicking on and off rather quickly and I know I heard that too when the blower was coming on and off. What is the deal here? What is it and how do I fix it

Thanks

That is a common problem in these cars. You need a new blower control module. Mine went haywire last summer after a really hard rain. It was messed up for a day or two. It has functioned normally since then. Sometimes water gets in there and sets it off. I'm not sure if most malfunctioning ones ever return to normal as mine did. Most people get replacements. It is behind the glove box. Your local dealer should be able to print out a schematic to help you find it.

I have the same thing happening after driving through a carwash- it returns to normal after drying out. Do not know what gets wet to make blow like that but would sure like to find out.

I'm having a similar problem too, actually. More often then not the climate control will function normally for a few minutes after I start the car, but not long after I hear a rapid clicking sound coming from under the dash on the passenger side and my climate control basically stops responding to my input. Thankfully it still turns off when I want it to. Can I assume the BCM is the culprit here too?

Yes the blower control module is under the dash behind the glove box I believe. Mine just went off yesterday again after a quick but heavy rain storm. It shut off but I'm going to look at it in the next few days to see if it can't be sealed better.
