blower has just one speed......

....full afterburner. My 93 SHO, the entire 3 weeks I've owned it seems to have a on off switch for the climate control motor. Push it to the off position and it's off. As I start to push it towards hi, it stays off and then, all of a sudden as it is at about 80-90% throttle, BAM, it comes on like a hurricane. Sounds to me like a dirty or bad rheostat. Can I remove/clean it? Or should I replace the entire module since a couple of the buttons are beat up?

It's your blower control module. My '95 had the same problem when I purchased it in December. I bought a used module from someone on the forum and the problem was solved. Your best bet is to find a working used module from a yard or from someone with a parts car (i.e. search the Parts forum in the classifieds).

If you need pictures of the module or directions on where to find it under the dash and how to get it out, let me know and I'll help you with it.
