Nearly the worst part to replace on a SHO. The only thing worse, IMHO, is the heater core.

The car starts life on the assembly line as a heater core and a BDA and the car is built around it.

Well, kinda...but the BDA is PITA to change.

thanks guys, and which part number is it since you said there was 2?
From what I remember there are more than 2.

I ordered the F2DZ, which is the third revision of it. I needed the F0DZ, which, obviously, is the first version of that one. It's really wierd. The thing I read was that the number changes with the first year the part is introduced, thus the F0DZ was released in 1990, and the F3DZ was released in 1993. However if the next number is, say, F6DZ, that means the part wasn't changed until 1996. If you are wondering about 1980 parts, a part made in 1983 would be E3DZ.

What would a "FSDZ" mean, then? This is the number on the box that my BDA came in (FSDZ-19E616-A).
