Used-To-Know-It-All
I'm reupholstering my '90's driver's seat, and I need the left (on your left side as you're sitting in the seat) bolster fabric only (in good shape), and it MUST be from a seat with the white plastic bolsters inside. It doesn't matter if it's from the driver's or passenger seat, as they're identical patterns. You're more likely to find a passenger seat piece in good shape, so that's fine with me, as long as it looks as good as the piece pictured at the bottom of this post.
The seat this piece is intended for is 50/50, but as far as I can tell, there is no difference between the bolsters on the full leather seats and the 50/50 seats; they're both leather.
See these pictures to tell the difference between the white and the black plastic bolster pieces:
Here is a shot of the other bolster from this seat; the one you're selling me should look about the same (but a mirror image, obviously):
Thanks in advance.
One more thing: If you can preserve the area of the fabric around the seam, I'd really appreciate it. If you want to use a pair of scissors to cut into the main seat back portion (i.e. cut more than I actually need) to do it, that's fine with me, just as long as you don't cut the actual bolster material. Alternatively, you'd either have to remove the seat back cover entirely and rip the seam out from the back, or, if you're really daring, rip the seam out from the front, but please be very careful not to damage the bolster fabric, as that will make it near useless to me. Thanks.
Regards,
Jon Heese
